Woven Chestnut Gate
A fully framed woven chestnut gate which is chemical free and locally made. These gates look great with chestnut fencing and other natural fencing such as Hazel or in a natural hedge.
The chestnut used is coppiced from local woodlands and the panels are made by hand here in Kent. Chestnut is a versatile timber that requires no treatment and has a life expectancy of 20+ years. The method of making these panels has changed little over time and they are to this day, hand-woven.
The frame is made using mortice and tenon joints and woven sawn lathes measure
approximately 5-7 cm wide and 1cm thick. As a handmade product, there may be a slight waiting time for these panels but in return, you will have a low environmental impact heritage fence panel.
