These natural chestnut fence panels are chemical free and locally made. The chestnut used is coppiced from local woodlands and the panels are made by hand here in Kent. Chestnut is a versatile timber that requires no treatment and has a life expectancy of 20+ years. The method of making these panels has changed little over time and they are to this day, hand-woven.
The sawn lathes measure
approximately 5-7 cm wide and approximately 1cm thick. Lathes are fixed around cleft
chestnut stakes and the panel has a half round top and bottom rail. As this product is handmade, there may be a slight waiting time but in return, you will have a low environmental impact heritage fence panel.
